About Ohana Building Supply

Ohana Building Supply has been in business for 5 years. The business, consisting of 10 employees, is located at 2815 Kaihikapua Street in Mapunapuna, across the street from Hawaii Self Storage.

Ohana Building Supply carries a variety of cabinets, including maple, light cherry and dark cherry, shaker-door style cabinets. The cabinets are constructed of an all plywood box with solid wood doors and face frame. The materials are from Northwest Hardwoods which are milled in the United States and shipped to China for manufacturing. The cabinets are stocked locally in their Mapunapuna warehouse. They also carry a high-end European style cabinet, which has a raised panel door, in both light and dark cherry. These cabinets consist of solid wood doors and ¾ inch plywood box construction. They also have a special order option, which can meet any customers’ specifications. This usually requires a longer lead time of 8-10 weeks. They also specialize in custom cabinetry and woodworking.

Starting off as cabinet suppliers it was thought the natural progression should be to provide the customer with a one-stop shop that can provide cabinets, countertops, flooring and other building materials and accessories. Today, the company is opening another warehouse that will house its granite storage and fabrication shop. Homeowners and contractors can purchase both cabinets and granite countertops through Ohana Building Supply. In the future, the company plans to supply their customers with under mount sinks, hardwood flooring, tile and other products.

After getting a bid for labor alone over $16K we ran into Ohana at the trade show. Stopped by and thankfully met up with Carrie. Carrie walked us through design (she did it with pencil n ruler....no cad, no program, seat of the pants smart!) and off we went! A few delays due to our work schedule conflicting with theirs, one bad day of the wrong crew but Carrie and Gary made it all happen and we could NOT be happier!!! These two make a super team and I have nothing but good words for them! From an ugly duck kitchen to a dream kitchen....yeah, photos later. I'm too busy USING my kitchen to get a 'clean shot' of the beautiful cabinets and awesome granite! By the way.....got the job done for MUCH less than a local contractor wanted for labor alone. Cabinets AND labor. Got a few more projects in the works and you can bet I'll be calling Carrie again!

This was my third time shopping cabinets for our rentals. I've gone the route to Golden cabinets, CC and other supply companies but had never gone to Ohana Building supply, thank god I did. Rosell was very professional, helpful and did all the work for me after I gave her our kitchen and bath dimensions. The cabinets were ready for pickup faster then anyone else could deliver, they offer the soft closings doors and more upgrades than anyone else out there is offering, the quartz countertops are also more reasonable that anyone else. I even got to meet the Owner Henry yesterday while picking up a toekick that I had accidentally damaged. He was very helpful to any questions I had and was willing to go the extra mile to help. If you haven't gone to Ohana Building supply, please give them a chance for your service and a quote before you buy from any other cabinet company. Aloha.
